Winter Tree Collages

Winter Collage Trees

We created these pictures by dividing our page into 5 or 6 curved sections.  We then decided which colour each section would be and where the sky would start.  We then ripped paper from magazines into small pieces and glued them on to our paper to create the background.

For our trees we went outside and looked at the shapes and forms of winter trees.  We talked about perspective and how trees far away are smaller and how the horizon rises.

We practiced sketching some trees.  We then squeezed black paint out of a small bottle onto our background.
