Keeping Ourselves Safe

Today Constable Kate came and talked to us about the different types of abuse and that it is not OK!  She taught us that we need to talk to an adult that we trust if ever we find ourselves in a difficult situation.

Chloe's Holiday Recount

We have been writing recounts in class.  Recounts have to have:
1.   Orientation - what, where, when, who, why and how?
2.   Sequence of events
3.   Personal Comment

Have a read of Chloes fabulous recount of her summer holiday.

Marvellous Mapua

In the summer holidays last year my family, the Marshs and the Churches went to Mapua.  My family got there first. While mum and Seb were putting up the tent I  found a secret hideout! I put chairs in there, a table, food and Bop It. When the Marshs came I ran up and gave Bella a big hug.
First we went to the office to get a nut for Joey the camp bird.  The nuts were for Bella, Syd, Brooke and I to feed Joey.  Then we biked to Joey and gave him our nuts. He loved them and said ‘hello Joey’.
Afterwards we went back and I showed Bella, Syd and Brooke my hut.  They said it was cool. In the morning we got dressed, had breakfast and went to the lolly shop machine, we got a “cry baby’ it was sour.
Soon after we went to the playground and played on the merry go round. Later we went to the wharf, I jumped off the wharf three times, then we floated down  the river with blow up rings. It was so much fun! Then we got an icecream, I got a rocket so did Bella. We also went  on  a ferry to Rabbit Island.  We went  biking around there, I was so puffed. We made rock islands, mine looked like a love heart, the other one was a pile of rocks.  Then it started to rain, we walked down to Wills cabin. Eventually it stopped raining and we played a game.
I had a fantastic camping holiday at Mapua!
